PASHA Bank, which has been operating in Turkey for 6 years for the development of commercial relations in the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia triangle and reached an asset size of 2 billion 179 million TL with a growth of 26 percent in 2020, has also included digital art, which has made great strides in the last years, in its support for the arts such as theater and photography. PASHA Bank became the official sponsor of the Dalınç Exhibition to be held at Binbirdirek Cistern on 15-17 June. Dalınç ,the first leg of the Istanbul Digital Art Festival to be held for the first time in Turkey, hosts different perspectives of media arts by synthesizing technology and art in the historical texture of Istanbul.

Although the global art market, which has reached a volume of 50.1 billion dollars in the world, has contracted by 22% compared to 2019, the desire to invest in the art market is on the rise. Investments made in arts continue in Turkey as well which is one of the emerging markets in the global art market. In this sense, PASHA Bank, which gets attention with the support it has given to art during the 6 years it has been operating in Turkey, will continue to provide support in the field of digital art in 2021. PASHA Bank has became the official sponsor of the Istanbul Digital Art Festival (IDAF) to be held for the first time in Turkey on digital art. Dalınç will be held at Binbirdirek Cistern on 15-17 June as the first exhibition of the fair in 2021 and will host 10 artists. Providing information about the exhibition that hosts different perspectives of media arts by synthesizing technology and art in the historical texture of Istanbul, H. Cenk Eynehan, the General Manager of PASHA Bank, said “We, as well as the PASHA Holding group, have always been supporting art both in Azerbaijan and in different geographies of the world. We are glad to support IDAF in Turkey as well. Digitization, which accelerated with the pandemic, also came to the fore in art. During this period, online sales doubled compared to 2019, reaching $12.4 billion and increasing its share of total sales from 9 percent to 25 percent. While about a third of collectors started to buy artworks on Instagram, NFTs suddenly came to the fore. We started to witness the NFT projects of many artists along with the NFT that has consisted of collage works of the digital artist nicknamed 'Beeple', which was sold for 69.3 million dollars by Christie's, one of the most important auction houses in the world. When we look at the digital world called Metaverse, digital art works attract attention with 13 million dollars. While digitalization in the field of art increases day by day both in our country and in the world, we stand by our artists with the support we have given in this field.” Eynehan underlined that the support they will give to art, especially digital art projects, will continue in the future and that they are the only investment bank that supports digital art, and invited everyone from 7 to 70 years of age to the Dalınç exhibition.
