Contributing to the development of trade between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, PASHA Bank has successfully completed the targeted actions at its General Directorate Building under the "Green Office Green Transformation Program" initiated by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Türkiye), which has been operating in Türkiye for 49 years. This accomplishment has earned the bank the "Green Office Green Transformation" diploma.

According to the "2023 Global Risks Report" published by the World Economic Forum (WEF), environmental and climate-focused issues will be the main agenda items affecting the world economy over the next decade. Unfortunately, more than 2 billion tons of urban solid waste are generated worldwide each year, nearly half of which is not managed safely. Offices are among the places where plastic packaging, single-use products, and paper are most commonly used. To promote sustainability in offices, WWF launched the "Green Office" program. This program aims to instill environmental awareness in organizations and employees, encouraging them to continue their sensitivity towards nature and the environment in both their professional and personal lives. PASHA Bank joined the "Green Office Green Transformation Program" to trigger a genuine transformation and make its employees a significant part of this change. The program includes a roadmap of 69 steps focusing on three main goals: awareness-raising, office practices, and waste management.

PASHA Bank, which has been contributing to the development of trade between Türkiye , Azerbaijan, and Georgia and has been operating in Türkiye for nine years, aims to create new and lasting values for the business world and society. With its vision and a mission that incorporates social and environmental awareness, PASHA Bank has added value to today's society and its future. In 2023, the bank successfully achieved the targets set through commitments selected in WWF-Türkiye’s “Green Office Green Transformation” program at its General Directorate Building, earning the "Green Office Green Transformation" diploma.

"Protecting Today and the Future!"

A. Hale Yıldırım, the Acting General Manager of PASHA Bank, emphasized that their priority has always been to enhance environmental awareness among their employees and the community, and they have signed numerous projects to this effect. “The Green Office Green Transformation Diploma is obtained at the end of a process where institutions assess and improve their environmental impacts at the office level to contribute to a sustainable future. Sustainability is a fundamental part of how we do business at PASHA Bank, and this collaboration with WWF-Türkiye has inspired us to make our office more environmentally friendly and strengthen our sustainable practices. We have made significant progress on our sustainability journey by successfully completing the 69-point target list given by WWF-Türkiye, including preventing paper waste, reducing consumption, ending the use of single-use paper/plastic materials started during the pandemic, lowering the office temperature by two degrees, minimizing excess water and electricity use, and encouraging recycling. Receiving our Green Office Diploma and taking steps towards minimizing our environmental impact is something we are proud of. PASHA Bank and its employees are protecting today and the future, working for a greener world,” stated Yıldırım.
